Luis Egger from St. Walburg in the Ulten Valley

Luis Egger was arrested in 1961 after the “Night of Flames.” While being tortured by the Carabinieri, he incurred permanent damage to his hearing, and suffered headaches for years afterwards. After his release from imprisonment, Egger dedicated himself to his gun club and to the South Tyrolean Heritage Association, which had been founded by former BAS activists.
