Jörg Pircher from Lana

Jörg Pircher was a founding member of the Lana militia group and one of the earliest BAS activists. In 1960, he traveled together with Sepp Kerschbaumer to Vienna to meet with Dr. Bruno Kreisky (then Foreign Minister of Austria) in order to explain to him the goals of the BAS. After the “Night of Flames,” Pircher was arrested and, in 1964, sentenced to 14 years of imprisonment.
